Pipe steering
Are you faced with the problem of laying pipelines at a specific gradient? Do you have a thrust boring machine but no microtunnelling equipment? Then this pipe steering system can be used in perfect combination with your thrust boring machine.
The pipe steering system is welded to the front of the pipe to be laid, then the drill head with the auger is pulled in and connected. The pipes can now be installed using the normal thrust boring technique.
A display unit tells you whether the pipe is being laid at the specified gradient. Its direction can be corrected using additional hydraulics. The pipe steering system is designed as a height-correctable cutting shoe for steel pipes and is controlled from the starting pit via the hydraulic lines. You navigate using two inclination angle sensors. Different drill heads can be chosen for different types of ground.
The auger is equipped with a ball joint and facilitates the correction of direction.
